Ames Cattle Co. started in the purebred Limousin cattle in 1997 with a group of bred heifers purchased in west Texas. There at that moment was the beginning of our operation in raising good quality bulls for ranchers. The process we take in developing our cattle through grain and hay/pasture grazing is why we believe they thrive better in environments that ranchers run their cattle on. We believe that the way we develop our cattle they can better handle many different pasture conditions for ranchers with out falling apart so hard. Our goal in raising cattle is to develop great genetics to carry on into future offspring along with having the right confirmation to carry those animals day by day. The right disposition in our cattle is a major priority of ours. We are hard on the culling process of our cattle because we believe cattle should have good temperaments to complete the total package of an animal. We stand behind our cattle 100%. We have expanded our breeding program over the past several years to offer a more variety of cattle. Our operation consist of raising our black purebred Limousin, Angus and LimFlex cattle.
